Today, Phase 3 tested their practical maths skills, measuring the volume of given 3-D shapes. They estimated the measurements first and then set about measuring the three-dimensions of the shapes, with their tape measures – calculating lengths and volume accordingly: with great success! Everyone, felt more confident by the end of the lesson. Well done everyone!
During the remainder of this week, we will explore the topic further, applying new knowledge to more calculations (even compound 3-D shapes and prism) and solving problems too – using our ever improving reasoning skills.
