Mrs Chambers’ Learning Group – Maths.

Happy Tuesday, Phase One. I hope you are all well and safe and are enjoying learning from home? You and your grown ups and doing a super job, well done and keep it up!

Following on from yesterday’s love lesson, we have been looking measuring, specifically- capacity, using the language, Full, Empty, Half full, Nearly full and Nearly Empty.

Look at this image, what can you see? Try and match the words to the pictures.

Now, see if you are able to find some containers which you can fill, these maybe be cups with water, rice, pasta or pencils, whatever you can find. Then think about filing them until they’re full, half full, nearly empty and empty. Take a photo and upload onto Tapestry. Here is an example.

Are any of these bottles full or empty? Half full or nearly full?

If you’d like a challenge, take a look at this worksheet and see if you can answer any of these questions.

lastly, enjoy looking at some games about measuring. Good luck and keep up the marvellous work, everybody 😀
