Happy Friday everyone – we hope to see you back in school on Monday!

First of all, let us look at one of the Big Pictures – this one is from the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle and we will be looking at it next week when we are back in school. Talk to your grown ups using your full sentences to say what you can see.

Today we are looking at measuring using weighing scales. The scales will help us to work out if an object is heavier or lighter. Have a look at the scales below and talk about what you think is heavier or lighter?

Now have a look for some objects around your home – sock, banana, book, pencil, apple, shoe etc. Hold an object in each hand and then talk about which you think is heavier or lighter – are there any objects that weigh the same? You can upload any photos onto Tapestry – I would love to see what you have found and whether you can talk about it as well – good luck!
