Today, the children were adding two 2-digit numbers. Some children used the dienes to help partition the numbers into tens and one and then added on ones.

The children worked really well today, but we need to keep practising our partitioning. Remember 25 = 20 + 5, for example. Whenever you see a 2-digit number, have a go!
