No, I am not confused! It shouldn’t say horary (although it was great fun)! In maths, we have been looking at arrays. I hear you say what is an array? An array is the start of year 2 learning all about times tables.
If you picture some rows and columns. Rows go across and columns go down.

The children then had to count how many rows there are (in this model 3) and how many are in each row (in this model 4). We could then say altogether there are 12 squares.
We then wrote this down as a multiplication 3 x 4 = 12
Together we worked in pairs using some numbers given to us to work out the array they could be.
Some of us were really smart and noticed if we turned the array around the answer didn’t change but the numbers swapped places (commutativity).

4 x 3 = 12 (4 rows each with 3 in it)
