Today in maths Year 4 have been exploring the properties of different 2D shapes. We have looked at the different number of vertices and side that different shapes have and whether they are regular or irregular. The children then played a game of ‘guess the shape’ where they had to pick a shape whilst their partner had to ask questions like ‘does your shape have more than 4 vertices?’ in order to guess the correct shape. We had a lot of fun playing this game whilst using all of our vocabulary.
