Perimeter Reasoning – 10am Maths groups (Mrs. Goode and Mr. Flower) – 26/02/21

Can you calculate the perimeter of compound shapes?

Following your work on calculating perimeters of shapes, during this week’s live maths lessons, you will now have the chance to complete some further reasoning questions. You should, if possible, complete the quiz via your ‘Teams’ account, however if you are unable to do that, then please click this link.

If you need a reminder of the basic, then take a look at this Math Antics video.

Reception Maths – Friday 26th

Good morning! To warm up this morning, take a look at this big picture and say 3 full sentences about what you can see:

Have a look at today’s video, be ready to count to big numbers, but quickly….I wonder how we can do that?

Practice counting in 5’s by learning this song:

I’d like you to practice counting in 10’s from yesterday’s lesson:

Year 1 Maths with Mrs Cook

Today’s lesson is looking at what we have learnt so far this week – can you remember how to compare two groups either using a subtraction or addition equation.

Have a good weekend – maybe you could try out some comparisons at home with two groups of objects? Talk about the comparison and put it into a number sentence – either a subtraction or addition equation – tell your grown up about it!

Perimeter Two: Maths 25/02/21 – Mr. Flower’s groups.

Can you find the missing lengths?

Following our live maths lesson today, all about perimeter (missing lengths), you should now complete your follow-up work, through Teams. If you are unable to link to your teams account (those of you at school), please use the links below for the correct groups.

You may still find the videos below, useful.

Simple Statistics – Your work

Today’s Guided Reading lesson was a bit unusual in that we looked at the information you can gather from charts and graphs rather than from the words in the text. Here are some of your pie-charts, which show the proportion of different energy sources in Landrovia, a fictional country which is trying to invest in renewable energy sources..

Have you found any other statistics to create a chart or graph?
