Maths 23.2.21

Group 2

We have been learning about applying our knowledge of number bonds to addition and subtraction. This is a good opportunity for a bit of revsion of your number bonds to warm up your brains.

Next I would like you to try applying that knowldge to some ALWAYS SOMETIMES NEVER statments. You can find the activity here. Or you access the PDF if you are able to print a document.

https://nrich.maths.org/12671 Start with the number statements. Then, because you are now shape experts, try the shape statements too.

Email photos to your teacher!

GROUP 3 and GROUP 4

You have been learning about perimeter so you have an investigation to do!

Firstly – what is perimeter? https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvmxsbk/articles/zsr4k7h

Secondly, you will need squared paper, a sharp pencil and a ruler to draw acurately and neatly.

How many different rectangles can you draw with a perimeter of 20cm?

(hint – it is more than 4!)

Send photos to your teacher please!
